"Nanoimprint Lithography in Austria: enabling emerging high added value applications“. Large-area nanostructuring is one of the main challenges Nanotechnology faces. NILaustria uses Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) to produce ultraprecise nanostructures on large areas. NIL has many advantages in comparison to conventional nanostructuring techniques. It enables simultaneous maximum resolution and high throughput and can be used to manufacture multilevel nanostructures in a single processing step, for example. Furthermore, the process is fast and cost-efficient. The idea of NILaustria is to use NIL for various applications – in basic, as well as in applied research – and to use the synergies to achieve significant progress in the nanoimprint process itself as well as for the applications.
