2. Call "Transnational Cooperative RTD Projects" 2009
Expiration of Full Proposal submission deadline!
This Call provides a framework for cooperation projects between innovative Austrian NANO players and international partners. Furthermore, the possibility for Austrian partners to participate in the MNT ERA-Net Call 2009 is ensured. Thus both internationalisation and competitiveness are strengthened by exchanging know-how and building up the competence of the Austrian players.
Funding is intended for innovative research and development projects with high risk. The project duration is limited to a maximum of 3 years. Project consortia consist of at least one Austrian company and one international partner. Proposals from all fields of nanosciences and nanotechnologies could be submitted, but there may be thematic restriction in case a project is embedded in an European Research Area Network (ERA-NET), or the MNT ERA-NET respectively.
This 2nd Call 2009 has a total budget of Euro 1.000.000. |

Small Country with Strong NANO Expertise
NANO is regarded as a set of promising future technologies with enormous potential for development and application in many sectors of industry and many areas of life. It is therefore strategically a very important focus for Austrian research and industry. The Austrian NANO Initiative is the multi-annual public funding programme for nanoscale sciences and nanotechnology. The programme is supported by several Ministries and Federal States. 2004 - 2006 the public budget was 35 MEuro, for 2007 it's 12 MEuro. Within seven outstanding project clusters research institutions and enterprises work together to develop new processes and applications, building on nanoscience findings. |
